Henry Golding joins Crazy Rich Asians as male lead
If you like us are obsessed with the Crazy Rich Asian series, then brace yourself because another our own just got cast as the male lead for its film adaptation – Henry Golding!
Joining Michelle Yeoh (set to play Eleanor Young, the mother), model and host Henry Golding (@henrygolding) will be making his feature film debut as the male lead of Crazy Rich Asians, namely Nick Young.
Set to play the down-to-earth Singaporean elite and heartthrob, Henry Golding (of British and Malaysian descent) will be paired with Hollywood's Constance Wu, who will be playing the love interest Rachel Chu (and no, not the Plastics Chu from Taiwan).
A raving fiction success worldwide, Crazy Rich Asians is a novel series telling the story of the lifestyle of the rich and famous around Asia, focusing deeply on Singapore and Malaysia.
The book's film adaptation will be produced by Warner Bros. and directed by Jon M Chu and also marks one of the few Hollywood production featuring an all-Asian cast.
With the look of things now, we are predicting more Malaysian And Singaporean talents to be chosen to play roles within the movie.
Now, our main question lies: Who will play the all fabulous, effortlessly chic and model-like Astrid Wu?
