A faraway summer escape with Les Eaux De Chanel
The new Les Eaux De Chanel fragrance is about the idea of a summer escape.
Inspired by three of Gabrielle Chanel's favourite places, we go on a sweet summer getaway to Deauville, Biarritz and Venise, bringing back the memories of a faraway coast and countryside.
Created by perfumer Olivier Polge, in cooperation with Chanel Fragrance Creation and Development Laboratory, the scents – Paris-Deauville, Paris-Biarritz and Paris-Venise – are blended with the noblest ingredients to evoke infinite freshness and elegance.
Crinkled leaves and bitter green
The first destination of this journey is Deauville, where Coco Chanel opened her first boutique.
Featuring notes of orange rind, petit grain, basil leaf, rose, jasmine and patchouli, Paris-Deauville is like a mid-summer dream in the country, where a gentle breeze blows through tall grasses.
Oriental promise and hushed impression
Hopping on the Orient Express, we escape to Venice, the city that inspired the Mademoiselle's first jewellery collection.
Paris-Venise envelopes us in a tangy-floral air with the notes of citrus, red berry and iris with a whisper of vibrant cedar and ambery accord, warming our skin with a hint of vanilla note and oriental nuances.
Open air and aquatic sensations
At the last stop of this Chanel summer holiday, we find ourselves in Biarritz, the sunny seaside town on the Basque coast.
Here, Paris-Biarritz kisses our skin with the notes of grapefruit and mandarin, accompanied by citrus, a lily-of-the-valley accord, vetiver and white musk – like an ice-cold dip in the open sea on a sunny day.
The Silhouette and Mechanism of Les Eaux De Chanel
The new bottle design is just like an invitation takes us to places.
Using lighter-than-usual glass, the bottle is made for you to travel with ease and it is housed inside a corrugated cardboard packaging that evokes the rippling of the seawater as it recedes from the beach and leaves its mark in the sand.
The matte surface of the cardboard has densified the black ink used for each inscription, presenting an even more delicate texture of the Chanel jacket.
Equipped with a unique pump, the bottle diffuses micro-droplets of fragrance for a longer time than an ordinary spray. The pump offers an effect of a soft and gentle cloud, thus heightening the soothing, comforting sensations upon application.
From 1st June 2018 onwards, the Les Eaux De Chanel fragrance collection is available at Chanel Fragrance & Beauty Boutiques nationwide including 1 Utama, Sunway Pyramid, Suria KLCC, Pavilion KL, Gurney Plaza (Penang), Queensbay Mall (Penang) and JB Komtar (Johor).
