#StayAtHome: Our 5 go-to social channels for quick, easy and delicious recipes

From YouTube to Instagram, here are our favourite channels to haunt for delectable cooking recipes to learn at home.

Aside from scouring the Internet and social media for visual content and entertainment, this Movement Control Order has also got us addicted to hunting for quick-and-easy cooking recipes to liven up our daily routine.

From making the viral Dalgona coffee to a healthy rice bowl or the Parasite-made famous steak Jjapaguri,  we present our five go-to cooking channels for you to cook up a storm as we stay at home and flatten the curve.

DDULGI, YOUTUBE

One of the few accounts who kickstarted the Dalgona coffee trend (coffee inspired by traditional Korean candy snack),  뚤기ddulgi is our favourite YouTube channel for easy-to-make desserts and various savoury snacks.

From condensed milk chocolates and Basque burnt cheesecake to a 4-ingredient microwaved pudding and salted caramel macarons, her recipes are simple, quick and require minimal ingredients. Perfect to kill time with!

TASTY, BUZZFEED

It goes without saying that Tasty by Buzzfeed (@buzzfeedtasty) will also be one of our regular haunts for amazing recipes. From complicated gourmet recipes to simple easy-to-make snacks, treats and finger food, Tasty has it all.

Our recent obsession is definitely the 3-ingredient Teriyaki Chicken and the One Pot Garlic Parmesan Pasta – simple, effective and perfect for weekends when we are too lazy to get off the couch and just need a hefty comfort food fix.

MAANGCHI, YOUTUBE

We can never go wrong with Korean cuisine and if one thing's for sure, Malaysians do love their share of Korean food and YouTuber Maagchi is definitely our pick for Korean cooking recipes. Not only are her recipes amazing, she also has a knack to make you laugh with her candid tutorial videos.

Be it Kimchi Pajeon (Korean kimchi pancakes) or Japchae (stir-fry glass noodles) and even Dakbokkeumtang (spicy braised chicken), you can truly master your Korean culinary skills right here.

LUCIA LEE, INSTAGRAM

If you prefer fuss-free meals, then the food minimalist Lucia Lee (@foodminimalist) will be your best friend. With a knack for bowl recipes and Asian cuisine, she shows us plenty of ways to make and plate a delicious meal with the simplest ingredients.

Sometimes, she even provides recipes that utilise store-bought frozen ingredients (think dumplings and rice cakes) and still make it delectable like a proper fully home-cooked meal!

HOME CAFE, INSTAGRAM

Who doesn't love a good café? But with the current situation where we need to stay home, then why not create your own café experience with Home Cafe (@h.cafe_sunjoo), a Korean-based beverage-focused Instagram account that provides a variety of recipes to make cafe-worthy concoctions.

From the viral Egg Coffee to a Black Sugar Matcha Latte or Lemon Hibiscus mocktail, there's plenty to play around with and very Insta-worthy for your weekend at home. And we think some of the recipes are also perfect to add a dash of alcohol (vodka or gin perhaps?) for a party night at home on Fridays!
