Onitsuka Tiger bring dynamic collection for Fall/Winter 2025
Inspired by Tokyo’s ever-changing landscape, the fashion brand’s 2025 Autumn/Winter Yellow Collection mirrors Tokyo itself — dynamic, layered, and always in motion.
Onitsuka Tiger turned heads at Milan Fashion Week with the striking debut of its 2025 Autumn/Winter Collection by Creative Director Andrea Pompilio. Inspired by the vibrant city of Tokyo, the collection embraces the theme of Urban Duality, where tradition and modernity seamlessly converge. Reflecting this contrast, the designs capture the buzzing energy of Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Harajuku while also finding beauty in Tokyo’s quieter, more intimate moments. The result is a collection that mirrors Tokyo itself — dynamic, layered, and always in motion.
The collection combines diverse influences, from contemporary Brit-country aesthetics to Western-inspired details, punk-studded accents, and romantic flourishes. A sleeker silhouette redefines the look, featuring tailored pea coats, suits, and jackets in soft wool double-face or micro houndstooth. Gorpcore-inspired zip-up mid-layer jackets, oversized cardigans, and cable-knit micro twin sets bring a unisex edge, leaving room for personal style to shape the final statement.
Balancing structure with flow, the collection introduces pleated skirts, delicate blouses, and silk dresses with lace inserts. These softer pieces are toughened up with hand-embroidered Nordic-patterned pullovers, voluminous skirts, waxed cotton jackets with corduroy collars, and Texan-style heeled boots. Cropped jackets embroidered with cowboy-inspired bugle motifs bring in a masculine touch, while glossy synthetic leather outerwear adds a modern polish.
Shoes take the collection up a notch, mixing toughness with glamour. Studded ballerina flats with squared metal toes, reworked weightlifting shoes with lace-up leather details and crystal-studded MEXICO 66 sneakers nod to the ‘80s pop-culture scene. Accessories round out the lineup, with the brand’s classic bowling bag, revamped with crystal embellishments, and a new mini pochette featuring oversized straps.
The show itself was a spectacle, drawing big names like Thai actor Gulf Kanawut, Filipino actress and global fashion icon Heart Evangelista, Korean actor Wi Hajun, Chinese actor Ziyi Wang, and Australian actress Phoebe Tonkin.
But beyond the theatrics, the collection stays true to what Onitsuka Tiger does best, taking a modern approach to beloved classics. The interplay of structure and softness, functionality and boldness, gives these pieces a fresh yet grounded feel. Every detail reflects this duality, from delicate lace paired with rugged outerwear to the seamless blend of vintage inspirations and contemporary tailoring.
At its heart, the 2025 Autumn/Winter Yellow Collection is a love letter to Tokyo — a city that thrives on contrast, constantly evolving but never losing sight of its identity. With this collection, Onitsuka Tiger continues to push forward, honoring tradition while embracing the now.
