A sports label known for spectacular technological advances, Nike has unleashed a new beast to the market – the Nike Joyride – to join its league of innovations including Nike Air and Nike React.
Featuring a sole consisting of made of thousands of TPE beads, the new cushioning system found in the Joyride series gives "a personalised underfoot experience with great impact absorption in a surprisingly light, energy-returning package".
With these thousands of beads placed in zonally-tuned pods, the Joyride can actively tune the cushioning of the sole in multiple directions to your comfort at all times and the result? You will feel like you are running on clouds of bubbles.
And for this new Joyride series, there are a few variations launched including Nike Joyride Run Flyknit (the very first design to be unveiled and a few select designs including the Nike Joyride NSW Optik and the Nike Joyride NSW Setter (which also made an appearance at the Matthew Williams’ SS20 ALYX show at Paris Fashion Week).
Within the series, all the designs are made for all runners with unisex sizing and if we zoom in to the Nike Joyride NSW Setter design, it is said to be "the muscle car" of the Nike Joyride family, providing even more advanced technology for maximum comfort and utility.
