BLACKPINK's Lisa takes you behind-the-scenes of her 'Rockstar' MV
The global mega-star gave fans a peek on the process of filming her visually captivating solo comeback.
To say that Lisa of BLACKPINK's solo comeback was a success is an understatement. The K-pop idol turned CEO of her own talent agency, LLOUD has finally given fans what they wanted and dropped her solo comeback aptly titled, 'Rockstar' to a rousing response. The single debut at number eight on the U.S. Spotify Global Chart and clinched the top spot in local music streaming charts all over the world.
The accompanying music video is currently still number one trending for music on YouTube after quickly rising to that spot just an hour after the video's release. As of writing this article, the MV has racked up over 61 million views in just four days — solidifying Lisa as one of the biggest forces in music today.
Her video has been the talk of the town — Impressively shutting down Bangkok's bustling Yaowarat district for a few hours and showcasing Thailand's rich culture in a vibrant and stylish way. So much so that Lisa's 'Rockstar' video was acknowledged by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, The latter vowed to provide more support for businesses and residents in that area with the anticipation of more tourists visiting Chinatown because of Lisa's video.
Beyond the glamour, fashion and choreography, the producers working on 'Rockstar' also mentioned inclusivity and diversity as part of their vision for the video.
