THE EXHIBITION

Staged in one of Hong Kong's hippest spots, PMQ, the Mademoiselle Privé features five unique spaces, each showing a different side of Chanel.

The first is a recreation of the iconic 31 Rue Cambon House's facade, the home of Chanel, which features Gabrielle Chanel's gamine silhouette, lit-up in red neon lights.

Then we have the Red Garden, an urban garden that showcases various shades of red (a favourite of Mademoiselle Chanel), from vermillion to burgundy, and also a 3D imagining of a Chanel archival abstract textile pattern by avant-garde Russian artist Ilia Zdanevitch, known as Iliazd, a close friend and collaborator of Gabrielle Chanel.

The Chanel N°5 room is also here, scented with Chanel N°5 L'Eau fragrance, while the Chanel Haute Couture room showcases the wonders of its couture creations, where some are even given the ‘x-ray' effect to reveal the ‘skeleton' of each garment.

And last but not least is the high jewellery space – Bijoux de Diamants –, where a striking display of a re-edition of the famous 1932 collection, ‘Bijoux de Diamants' are showcased.
