Ni Ni hitchhikes with Gucci for new eyewear campaign

The actress was cast as a lonely traveller with an unknown destination in the new campaign.

Gucci once again tapped Chinese actress Ni Ni (@captainmiao)– one of the Italian house's favourite muse – to parade its Spring Summer 2019 eyewear collection.

Shot by photographer Hugo Scott and directed by Christopher Simmonds, the campaign is set against the backdrop of a desert highway where the Gucci hitchhiker trying to thumb a lift, holding corrugated cardboards with her destinations written on: “OUTTA HERE” and “SOMEWHERE”.

In the campaign, Ni Ni rocks a top-to-toe Gucci look that include a timeless metal frame in gold and a sunglasses in solid cherry colour.

Also appeared on our cover (see: September 2018 issue) Ni Ni has been the face of Gucci eyewear since 2017 and has recently starred in a few Chinese blockbusters The Thousand Faces of Dunjia and Wu Kong.
