#HomeWithLOFF: Tory Burch on her stay-at-home experience, cooking and more
With ambition and determination, Tory Burch has built an empire by thinking of women, and by dressing them according to her unique vision. An entrepreneur, creative director, mother, philanthropist and so much more, Tory is a force to be reckoned with.
As we all stay home to flatten the curve, we talk to Tory about her stay-at-home experience, from staying positive to her daily routine and her favourite app to use right now.
How do you stay positive in the face of the current situation?
Honestly, it's hard to stay positive right now, when I'm a pretty positive person by nature. I have great confidence in humanity and science; I am in awe of everyone on the front line, and incredibly inspired to see this remarkable altruism and solidarity.
Tell us about your daily routine.
Each day brings a new challenge. We are truly fortunate to have an incredible team that is helping to navigate the uncertainty of this crisis. Exercising and working on collections helps me stay focused and gives me the peace of mind I need.
What outfit do you work in?
I live in sneakers and in our Sport collection. Right now, I just want to be relaxed and comfortable.
What do you cook for breakfast/lunch/dinner?
I usually have fruit for breakfast and unfortunately no time to cook right now. But my boys and I made a banana cake last weekend. I highly recommend this cake!
Your favourite apps to use right now and why?
I became a fan of Zoom. The app makes you feel like you're with the people you love and miss.
What are the things that you have been able to achieve thanks to this situation?
I think I have always appreciated what surrounds me but it is true that at this particular moment, we are all learning to enjoy every little thing.
What changes do you think this will bring to the world?
I think the world is already profoundly changed forever. I'm going to look at just about everything around me differently. And now, more than ever, we must support each other.
What is the first thing you will do after the quarantine ends?
Kiss my mother.
