One of the most hyped openings in the past year, ISETAN The Japan Store is definitely our top favourites when it comes to shopping experiences, all thanks to the array of unique Japanese brands available.

Now, this iconic departmental store adds a local touch to its offering by hosting a series of local Malaysian designers and brands in its space, which includes pop-up projects and permanent collections.

We headed over recently to have a look and here's the breakdown of what's on offer!

JOE CHIA

One of the celebrated young generation of Malaysian fashion talents, Joe Chia's namesake label that requires little introduction and now, it has arrived in ISETAN The Japan Store.

Known for its draped silhouettes and androgynous styles, Joe Chia (the label) is a coveted name in the street style scene and in its new pop-up space, you can find all the latest ready-to-wear pieces, along with leather goods and accessories all designed by Joe Chia and made locally in Malaysia.

Plus, you can also get a pair of the limited edition Joe Chia x Reebok sneakers here, if you haven't already.

The Joe Chia pop-up space is open till August 2017 on Level 1 of ISETAN The Japan Store.

CASSEY GAN and TERMS ET CONDITIONS

A favourite among fashionistas in the Asian region, Cassey Gan's creations are famed for its unique proportions and flair for prints.

Combining Japanese prints with European textiles, the Cassey Gan collection is definitely befitting of the pop-up space in ISETAN, but wait. There's more to it than just her usual collection.

Here, you will also find Cassey's debut t-shirt collection, parked under her new diffusion label "Terms Et Conditions", which is made for both the ladies and the gents.

The Cassey Gan pop-up space is open until 22nd June 2017 on Level 1 of ISETAN The Japan Store.

THE ALPHABET PRESS

You might remember them from our anniversary party last year (they printed our invites!), but if you don't, you need to know about them now.

A bespoke letterpress stationery maker, The Alphabet Press creates the most interesting and intricate designed stationeries and lifestyle goods that you never knew you wanted and now they have a series of collectables housed inside ISETAN The Japan Store.

From journals to postcards and greeting cards, you can find a lot of its goods inspired by the heritage and culture of Malaysia to brighten your arsenal of writing goods and they also make perfect souvenirs for out-of-towners!

The Alphabet Press can be found on Level 2 of ISETAN The Japan Store.
