Longchamp breaks the rules with its LGP monogram debut

It's not a monogram you'd ever imagine to be associated with Longchamp but we are loving it.

First seen on the Longchamp Fall 2019 ready-to-wear runway in New York, the LGP monogram is breaking the rules of luxury's monogram.

Inspired by Bauhaus, the 9 letters of 'Longchamp' jostling, interlocking each other, buzzes with hypnotising energy through its geometric edges.

And doesn't the bold, eye-popping effect remind you of Andy Warhol's works? A rather fitting theme as the collection takes over New York since the first week of May.

Rather than a classic identification, the new LGP monogram is more of a modern translation that captures the spirit of Longchamp – contemporary, cosmopolitan, with a sense of fun!

This coming fall/winter season at Longchamp, the LGP monogram is conjured on a wide range of accessories, ready-to-wear including puffer jackets, sweatshirts, slip-on sneakers and more.

And of course, the LGP monogram will also feature the signature Le Pliage® and Le Pliage® Cuir lines, which is seen on Kendall Jenner, the house's brand ambassador.
