Penélope and Mónica Cruz team up once again with Italian footwear brand Geox
After a successful Spring/Summer campaign, the Oscar-winning actress takes on New York City with the spirit of adventure for the Autumn/Winter campaign.
“We are glad to have Penélope Cruz by our side again,” says Mario Moretti Polegato, founder and Chairman of GEOX. “A versatile actress and a woman of great charisma, she is an artist who embodies to perfection Geox's contemporary core and international flair”.
Shot by the creative duo of Hunter and Gatti with music by Penélope’s brother, Eduardo Cruz, and curated by the Milan division of M&C Saatchi, the actress is seen in various locations in and around the Big Apple, from a rooftop against the city’s cosmopolitan skyline, admiring its view by night to a stunning display of lights in the city that never sleeps, walking past its unmistakable brownstones with its fire escapes and lastly, posing by the iconic yellow cab. Through it all, Penélope’s joie-de-vivre shines through while she maintains a sense of zen only the comfort and breathability of Geox footwear brings.
Throughout the campaign and in the capsule collection developed by the sisters, Cruz is seen modelling an array of footwear that combine aesthetics and functionality in perfect balance. Of note, the Walk Pleasure series of loafers and boots, both available in various heights.
The sisters’ capsule collection, meanwhile, showcase a range of sneakers and apparel that are contemporary and practical as they are elegant. The Diamond grey flannel long coat and hooded vest offer sheer versatility and ease, their neutral yet stylish shapes able to complement any wardrobe. The Nebula sneakers come in a casual, ergonomic design that promises ultra comfort with subtle shades of cognac, taupe, deep gray and even leopard spot detailing in one iteration.
More importantly, all footwear present breathability, cushioning and walkability, taking all the hard work out of your busy day and allowing you the freedom to breathe.
