Raf Simons is making history at CFDA this year, succeeding a record set by Calvin Klein in 1993.

Known to many as "The Oscars of Fashion", the CFDA Awards is back again for 2017 and this year, Raf Simons is making history by winning two of its highest honours.

For the awards ceremony, Raf Simons, the current creative director of Calvin Klein, has won both Menswear Designer of the Year and Womenswear Designer of the Year Award for his work at Calvin Klein.

This achievement marks the second time in the history of CFDA, where one person wins both of the highest honours and to our delight, the first who made that mark in CFDA history was Calvin Klein himself in 1993.

Truly this makes a proud day for the celebrated American brand who has seen a total facelift in the hands of Raf (see his debut CK campaign here).

On his acceptance speech, Raf says, "If we as creatives can be an inspiration for how the world should look. I think that it's something we should take as a very important task."
