The LV Capucines bag never looked better until Cruella rocks it
Emma Stone has played numerous characters – from La La Land to The Help and Easy A – that resonate with us, making her one of our (and Louis Vuitton's) favourite actresses of all time.
Armed with beauty, brains and limitless wit, the iconic actress takes on a new role as the greatest fashion villain of all time, Cruella de Vil, in the new Disney live-action Cruella that features the villainess's origin story – which explores how she turned into the dalmatian-crazed lady with a pipe cigarette that we come to love and fear in our childhood.
In this new film that has just dropped on Disney+ Hotstar, another star has risen to even bigger fame – the Louis Vuitton Capucines bag.
An iconic classic loved by fashion enthusiasts and trendsetters, the LV Capucines bag makes a special appearance in the film as part of the French luxury house's special collaboration with Cruella. An apt partnership seeing that Emma Stone is a longtime Louis Vuitton fan and muse who has also modelled for the bag's various advertising campaigns.
In the film, costume designer and two-time Oscar Award winner, Jenny Beavan, pursued a vision to create iconic looks to illustrate the story for Cruella. She says in a special behind-the-scenes video, "I wanted to have an iconic Cruella relook and so I thought the way to do it is with accessories, which are very important."
