The LV x Yayoi Kusama collaboration, as seen on HoYeon Jung, Nayeon, and more
Friends of the house show off the Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama collaboration.
We're getting a taste of the new Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama collaboration ahead of its release via friends of the house – actresses HoYeon Jung and Kieunse, and singers Yuta, TaeYeon, and Twice's Nayeon, and new campaign images of Gisele Bündchen, Anok Yai, and Fei Fei Sun.
The collection marks the second partnership between the brand and the Japanese avant-garde artist, known for her characteristic polka dots. This new chapter has been 10 years in the making, a sequel to the duo's first project in 2012 where Kusama left her mark on Louis Vuitton silhouettes: The Keepall, Neverfull, Papillon, and Speedy.
In this range, fans of the house can expect to find Louis Vuitton's emblematic pieces such as women's and menswear's ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, accessories, luggage and trunks, and fragrances decorated in Kusama’s telltale motifs, reimagining the Maison's signature pieces into the artist's own transformative universe. The collection comes in four distinctive prints of Kusama’s: Painted dots, infinity dots (what she's most recognised for), metal dots, and psychedelic florals, all of which will be spread across two drops launching at different times of the year.
The first drop will launch on the 1st of January exclusively to China and Japan, followed by the rest of the world on the 6th. Drop two will only be available in all Louis Vuitton stores from 31st March 2023 onwards.
