Who won what at the Fashion Awards 2017?
An international celebration of fashion and awards ceremony, The Fashion Awards 2017 (formerly known British Fashion Awards), saw the biggest stars from around the world flocking into Royal Albert Hall in London last week.
This year saw some of the best in the industry honoured including the late Franca Sozzani of Vogue Italia, the late Azzedine Alaia and the legendary makeup genius Pat McGrath.
Among designers, Jonathan Anderson is the big winner of the night who took home both Accessories Designer of the Year (for his work at Loewe) and British Designer of the Year – Womenswear (for his work at JW Anderson).
Another stellar winner is, of course, Adwoa Aboah who took home Model of the Year, while Christopher Bailey is honoured with the award for Outstanding Contribution to British Fashion.
All in all, the Fashion Awards 2017 is all about celebrating the contributions of women in the fashion industry with winners and honorees like Donatella Versace (Icon of the Year), Pat McGrath (Isabella Blow Award for the Creative Force of the Year), Maria Grazia Chiuri (Swarovski Award for Positive Change) and Stella McCartney (Special Recognition Award for Innovation).
And during the night, Naomi Campbell also led a legion of models and muses to give a heart-warming tribute to the late Azzedine Alaia who has recently left us.
In her speech, Naomi says, "He was the most generous, kind, compassionate and humble man I have ever known, with a mischievous sense of humour in the glint of his eye, and he filled my life - and the lives of the women on this stage, and all of you in the room who met him - with light and joy."
