Cover Story: 35 questions with top Malaysian model Nia Atasha feat. Dior
Featuring Dior’s Cruise 2025 collection, L’OFFICIEL gets up close and personal with top Malaysian model Nia Atasha with 35 intimate questions.
- First thing you thought about this morning?
“What should I have for breakfast?”
- What did you eat for breakfast?
“I usually end up skipping breakfast in the morning to get extra sleep. But when I do, I love my roti canai!”
- What is your occupation?
“I’m a model!”
- How long have you had that occupation?
“For about 10 years now. That’s a whole decade!”
- What do you like about it?
“Modelling lets me express different styles and emotions. I love the art of transforming myself into a character or a mood that brings a concept to life!”
- What do you not like about it?
“Modelling can have unpredictable hours and last-minute bookings, which makes it hard to plan personal time or keep a stable routine. Additionally, working in an industry that prioritises appearance exposes one to a great deal of scrutiny and judgement, which can sometimes negatively impact one’s self-esteem.”
- Craziest job experience?
“I had a shoot in Cambodia years ago, and we had to zipline to the shoot location. That was pretty crazy, but really fun.”
- Three words to describe where you live?
“Cosy little cave.”
- Favourite food?
“I can’t live without Asian cuisine. I need my rice.”
- Least favourite food?
“Western food.”
- Favourite drink?
“Teh o ais!”
- Favourite restaurant?
“My mom’s kitchen. She cooks the best food.”

- A movie that made you cry?
“Recently, the movie Wild Robot.”
- Movie that made you cry from laughter?
“Rewatched Hot Fuzz, I almost died from laughter.”
- Most desired quality in a friend?
“Trustworthiness. A trustworthy friend is someone you can count on, who will be honest and supportive, and who respects your boundaries. Having that level of trust means you can be yourself around them, share your thoughts without fear of judgment, and know they’ll be there when you need them. Other qualities that also matter include kindness, empathy and a good sense of humour — someone who can make you laugh and bring positivity into your life.”
