"Collection One" marks a new era for Swarovski with Giovanna Engelbert

At its 125th anniversary, Swarovski leaps a step into the future with a dramatically fresh vision by Giovanna Engelbert, a celebrated fashion icon and creative talent.

In 2020, Giovanna Battaglia expanded her role at Swarovski from creative directing the B2B division to now heading the crystal maison’s global creative direction. Her debut work, the Collection One, comes to life as the first act of the Wonderlab that delivers an utterly different dimension of Swarovski. 

“I wanted to explore the fundamental geometry of crystal and its potential as a material,” said Giovanna Battaglia, “As I set out on my own creative journey, I respect how transformative jewellery can be and wanted to create pieces and a vision of style that women and men could embrace and feel like their bold unique selves in.”

With an explosive approach to colour, cut and styling, Collection One embodies what Giovanna Battaglia has envisioned for Swarovski. From necklace to earrings and body jewellery, the collection stays true to Swarovski’s heritage with enduring elegance while not afraid to stand out and make a statement. 

To celebrate the arrival of Collection One, Swarovski releases a series of short films where “science and magic meet, extra and elegance collide”, starring Adwoa Aboah, Isla Johnston and Gwendoline Christie.
