Inside Bvlgari's Serpenti Infinite Tales exhibition in Beijing with Liu Yifei and Wu Lei
This marks the last stop and grand finale to the Serpenti Factory tour and the event was graced by luminaries like Liu Yifei and Wu Lei.
Bvlgari marked the grand finale of its Serpenti Factory — a global artistic initiative celebrating the Maison’s iconic Serpenti motif — with the opening of the “Serpenti Infinite Tales” exhibition at the Genesis Art Gallery in Beijing. The gallery, a masterwork of visionary Japanese architect Tadao Ando, is situated near the Bvlgari Hotel Beijing and opened its doors for the first time to host an exhibition for a luxury house.
This finale represents the culmination of a two-year journey that spanned major cities such as London, Madrid, Shanghai, Seoul, New York, Los Angeles, Dubai, Milan, and Tokyo. The Beijing exhibition is the largest Serpenti Factory event to date, showcasing the works of numerous local and international artists.
“Serpenti Infinite Tales” features an array of new, unpublished works alongside significant pieces from previous exhibitions, all inspired by the Serpenti motif and exclusively created for Bvlgari. The exhibition explores the enduring connection between the serpent and art, seamlessly bridging past and present, East and West.
The opening ceremony at Genesis Art Gallery was attended by around 300 international guests, including Bvlgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, Italian Ambassador to China Massimo Ambrosetti, Bvlgari Global Brand Ambassador Yifei Liu, and Brand Ambassador Leo Wu. Guests enjoyed an exclusive preview of the exhibition, divided into five thematic chapters. The display included contemporary artists’ interpretations of the Serpenti motif and iconic Serpenti creations from both the Bvlgari Heritage Collection and current collections, offering an immersive journey through the emblem’s evolution.
Highlights included behind-the-scenes videos of the Serpenti Aeterna, a high jewellery necklace celebrating Bvlgari’s 140th anniversary, showcasing the brand’s unparalleled craftsmanship and gemstone expertise.
Also featured were the Tadao Ando x Serpenti Tubogas watches, a special edition collection created in collaboration with the architect. Following the exhibition tour, guests enjoyed a cocktail party in the gallery’s external courtyard, completing a night of artistic and luxurious celebration.
