Celebrate 70 years of Dior at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs
The one who shook the fashion world with his New Look Spring/Summer 1947 collection, this year marks its 70th anniversary of the house of Dior by Monsieur Christian Dior and what better way to celebrate than to host an exhibition to tell the tales of Dior.
Opened on 5th July 2017, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs is now hosting a one-of-a-kind fashion exhibition to celebrate the many wonders of Christian Dior.
Spread into 7 themes including The Dior Gardens, Artistic Affinities, Trianon, The Dior Ball, Round The World in Dior, Stars in Dior and Le New Look, the exhibition explores the entire heritage of the house of Dior.
From his humble beginnings in Granville during the Roaring Twenties to the illustrious careers of all its predecessors including John Galliano, Raf Simons and the current reigning designer, Maria Grazia Chiuri, the "Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams" (Christian Dior, couturier du rêve) exhibition is one of the highlights of Paris Couture Week.
And what better way to usher in welcome the opening night than to have all the brightest stars in the world including Jennifer Lawrence, Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Zhang Ziyi descend on the steps of Musée des Arts Décoratifs to toast to this spectacular exhibition?
