What do you love about fashion?

I love that I can mix and match different things together and improvise what I wear; using ribbons and bra straps as belts, for example!

Do you have a favourite piece in your wardrobe?

I don’t really have a favourite but I do have specific pieces that I wear all the time for comfort more than anything. My Rodarte sweater and ripped boyfriend jeans which everyone keeps telling me to throw away because the knees are totally ripped into huge holes from wearing it too often.

What does your style say about you?

It says that I like experimenting but at the same time staying comfortable. I’m not one for awkward-looking things that don’t feel or look practical. You don’t need to try too hard, because sometimes when you do, it just doesn’t work.

Who do you look up to?

Mira Duma because not only is she successful and stylish, but she also portrays herself as a capable wife and mother. I like the reality of her life.

It has never been more important to stand up for women and minorities everywhere. What is your wish for women moving forward?

I think my one wish for women is that we get together to fight the abuse against us, be it mentally, emotionally or physically. This has been going on for decades and I think that women should fight harder than ever for their rights to have a voice and a mind of their own; to not be scared into silence.
