What's to love about Dior Beauty's new Diorshow 5 Couleurs
The coveted couture eyeshadow palette just got an update.
From reverse cat-eyes to metallic inner corners and soft smoky eyes, leave it to Dior to lead the trend. As eye makeup continues to take centre stage for Dior’s runway beauty, the House is elevating its wardrobe of eye essentials with even greater artistry for the season.
The Diorshow 5 Couleurs eyeshadow palette has always been the star of the brand’s Diorshow collection and its iconic creamy powder formula is now more refined than ever with natural-origin active ingredients and skincare elements. The sensorial texture is comfortable to the touch thanks to the infusion of soothing blue flower and pine oil. Each swipe of the eyeshadow delivers intense, buildable pigments to create looks ranging from natural to extreme.
Encompassing four colour families: Nude, Pink/Red, Copper and Smoky shades, it’s understandably difficult for Dior Makeup’s Creative and Image Director Peter Philips to pick just a favourite hue out of the sixteen harmonies. “I do love Mitzah, which is an all-time favourite. Denim is gorgeous, it’s not so everyday but I love how the blues are curated with a hint of green; Khaki flatters warmer skin tones, the brownish red effortlessly adds dimension and gives beautiful highlight with the sparkles.”
Though it was challenging to bring some of the shades to life with a plant-based formula, Philips reveals that with the expertise of Dior Beauty’s labs, they had managed to reinvent the palette without compromising any of its original charms. The makeup maestro highlights, “The Diorshow 5 Couleurs is more than just a palette, it gives the freedom to express and break the eye makeup rules.”
