Burberry presents Spring/Summer 2020 collection 'Evolution'
Themed 'Evolution', Riccardo Tisci's persona is growing stronger at Burberry as he rethinks the era of Victoria for the British house's Spring/Summer 2020 collection.
The show started with a techno beat that gave a hint to the untamed looks that come after. Against Burberry's trademark beige-honey palette, Riccardo Tisci presented the symphony of modern structures and classic silhouettes with a line-up of corset details, exaggerated sleeves, deconstructed trench coats and cutout tailorings.
"My first year at Burberry was about understanding and refining the new codification for the house. With that foundation in place, I feel ready to start exploring what’s at the heart of this incredible brand."
-Riccardo Tisci
Burberry Spring/Summer 2020 collection also introduced the Anne saddle bag – an equestrian-inspired silhouette finished with the Thomas Burberry Monogram hardware and bridie straps.
