The collection&rsquo;s highlights include drapey silhouettes, masterful layering, and a muted colour palette, allowing texture to take centre stage.

Michael Kors has been embodying the New York woman since the 1980s, and the new Fall/Winter 2025 does this with a relaxed yet glamorous approach. She has grown and evolved, but one thing remains true: she is on the go and her clothing must comply with her life's pace.
Fall/Winter 2025 features a muted wintry colour palette of grey, camel, and black, a foolproof trio for effortlessly chic dressing. However, there are brilliant hints of violet and plum, along with a sprinkle of seafoam green. But what makes this collection extra fun is its embrace of texture, which takes the furry coat trend to the next level with hair-like coats, in addition to vests, bags, hats, gloves, and shoes. From sequins to sweaters, each outfit on the runway looked like it was draped on the model with such a delicate touch as if it was painted on their body.
The collection serves as a masterclass for winter layering, pairing boxy blazers over thick turtlenecks, flowing skirts, and tall boots. Its relaxed nature paired nicely with the barely-there makeup and loose waves on the runway by makeup artist Dick Page and hairstylist Orlando Pita. The minimalist approach to each beauty look was reminiscent of &lsquo;90s minimalism, especially in the accessorising.
The collection also features cord necklaces, a star accessory throughout the show and coveted piece for lovers of &lsquo;90s fashion. Michael Kors has seen it all, having designed through the trends of the 90s, 2000s, all the way to the present. With that comes an expert eye for beautifully merging trends old and new. Show attendees relished in this and were the embodiment of the Kors woman, including Suki Waterhouse, Rachel Zegler, Kerry Washington, Ivy Getty, and other guests.
