Burberry’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection brings forth elegant outerwear in the form of stunning moleskin trench coats, stylish field jackets, and striking knit pieces with braided fringing.

The neutral-toned garments, grounded in traditional British design and style, stayed true to the fashion house’s revered aesthetic. Signature elements such as the tartan checked print made an appearance in multiple looks, as did the oversized bags that continuously grace Burberry’s shows.

The looks, dominated by olive-toned greens and rich earthy browns, were paraded to the voice of the famed singer Amy Winehouse, who, like Burberry’s brand, is heavily associated with British culture. Hits including “You Know I’m No Good” and “Back to Black” mixed with Winehouse’s commentary on music, life, and London played aloud as elevated hoodies, warm turtlenecks, and luxurious shearling coats were presented to the audience. The ensemble featuring a deep V-necked olive sweater paired with a pleated maxi skirt, made for a playful look that still stayed true to the brand's stylistic identity. Another notable look came in the form of a rich brown sweater dress heavily decorated with thick fringes, giving the piece an avant-garde look.

This fall/winter season marks Daniel Lee's third collection for Burberry. Lee's focus was to stay true to the brand's personality, and he did so by capturing the essence of Burberry’s past, present, and future. The throwback accessories and the signature checked print to mark its historic past, the of-the-moment puffer jackets and fur coats mark the present, and the interesting fringed pieces look ahead to the future.
