This season, Stuart Vevers brought back Coach Forever—an approach to a collection that mixes past, present, and future together in one moment to speak to real-life dressing—first introduced last September. Titled Coach Forever Season Two, the collection debuted via a “Coach TV” programme with kitschy, funny pre-show shorts written and directed by Frances Frances that saw Michael B. Jordan, Jennifer Lopez, Megan Thee Stallion and other stars spoofing scenes from Friends and Mean Girls, re-enacting an MTV-like music video showcase, to a hosting a nightly news segment and even a fake home shopping network.

The main fashion film, shot by Juergen Teller around the world, featured even more Coach Family members like Kaia Gerber, Paloma Elsesser, Kiko Mizuhara, Cole Sprouse, Ju Xiao Wen, Hari Nef and HyunA, all dressed in Coach’s latest offerings that narrate a story about “creature comforts.”

Inspired by the collision of indoor and outdoor worlds, the collection features versatile, cosy and indulgent silhouettes made for layering. Plush oversized shearling coats are aplenty, and the colours tones have returned to a more tonal palette. Leather jackets—created in collaboration with American brand Schott NYC—worn over a checked dress and knit long johns, mixed the snarl of grunge with the glossiness of youthful pop. Vampy shoes are replaced by fluffy slippers and mules paired with embroidered socks.

On the accessories front, a reimagination of the house’s Rogue carryall echoes Vevers’ idea of indulgence of nostalgia from the clothes. The Coach Rogue Bag, a favourite of the creative director, is touted as a “go-anywhere” bag inspired by free spirits, rebels and dreamers. The boxy handbag comes in three sizes with contrast stitching, textural jacquard and a mixed material trim that is upcycled woven. The handle, meanwhile, is revived from the storied brand’s men’s archives.

The new Rogue bags line-up is mainly made in Signature Textile Jacquard—an environmentally conscious material made from a blend of organic cotton and recycled plastic bottles. Other variations include a natural pebble leather, glovetanned leather and suede in colour-blocking hues as well as a graphic illustration of Mickey Mouse. On top of that, Vevers also extended the design into a new series of totes with materials ranging from shearling, jacquard to a recycled canvas that is made from recycled plastic bottles with a trompe l’oeil design.
