Coach and Selena Gomez wants you to dream big
It is not every day where you get a fashion and music icon visiting your high school and for two LA schools, it's their lucky day because Selena Gomez made a surprise visit with Coach.
Part of the Coach Foundation's initiative, the New York label partnered with Selena to surprise two Los Angeles high schools with a special visit and to raise awareness for Coach's charity partner Step Up, an organisation that empowers young women from under-resourced communities.
The new brand ambassador for Coach, this marks the first of many projects Selena will be embarking with the brand and on this particular project, she says, "I am truly thrilled to be involved with Coach and their support of Step Up. Working with the young women I met today was an inspirational experience I will never forget."
While Selena was at the schools, she also joined in the Step Up curriculum lesson at the respective schools, designed to promote confidence and celebrate the global girl community.
And thanks to the support by Coach Foundation, Step Up has expanded its reach and brought its after-school Confidence Curriculum and mentorship programming to a total of six cities, tripling the number of girls served annually by 2020.
So, big kudos to both Coach and Selena. You did us all proud in the march to equality and unity!
