Meet Samsung Galaxy A9, world's first Quad Camera phone
Hot off its global launch and unpacking event yesterday (see: #AGalaxyEvent or #WithGalaxy), Samsung unveils its latest innovation – the Samsung Galaxy A9 – which is the world's first ever quad camera phone.
Part of its popular A Series, the Galaxy A9 brings the latest innovations under the Samsung family with a big emphasis on a "world’s first quad smartphone camera to capture life the way it was meant to be seen".
We were lucky to be part of the launch event and here's all you need to know about the new Quad Camera.
So, what's a quad camera? Essentially, the Galaxy A9 features four camera lenses on the back of the phone and to date, we have only seen three cameras from various mobile companies.
With Galaxy A9, the four cameras are Ultra Wide Camera, Telephoto Camera, 24MP Camera and Depth Camera, which means each of these cameras is made to address a single need and function that users want.
First is the Ultra Wide Camera, which is truly extraordinary, as it can capture an image from a 120º wide angle and with a commendable low light aperture of F2.4.
For the Telephoto camera which is made for detailed close-up shots and with its 2x Optical Zoom, you can even get focused shots with extreme details from far away.
For the main camera, Samsung prepared a legit 24MP lens which is perfect for clear and sharp photos no matter the occasion and also boasts an even better low light setting of F2.2 aperture.
Add that with the Scene Optimiser and AI Scene Recognition, the Galaxy A9 chooses the perfect settings to optimise the perfect shot for its users.
Last but not least, there is the Depth Lens that allows users to manually manage the photos’ depth of field and focus of the photo, which results in more dramatic and professional-looking shots.
And with the outstanding new cameras comes a sleek new design with three colours to choose from – Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink.
Stylish and perfect for the new generation of social media-savvy users (like us!), the Galaxy A9 also includes a 3,800mAh 1 battery life and 128GB internal storage (expandable with a 512GB external memory), which is even bigger than most laptops and desktops we have at the moment.
This is a modal window.
The Galaxy A9 will be available soon in Malaysia.
