It goes without saying that Parasite is a top contender for the awards season (and a must-watch we have been stressing you watch) and at the Oscars 2020, the South Korean film has shattered records in the history of the Academy Awards.

On top of winning three other awards including Best Directing, Best Original Screenplay and Best International Film Feature (formerly Best Foreign-Language Film), Parasite has officially become the first non-English film in the history of the Academy Awards to win Best Picture.

Marking a major breakthrough in the history of film, for both Asian film making and foreign films as a whole, Parasite has truly shattered the boundaries.
