Let's get Gerai Tai Tai to Venice Biennale 2019
A Kuala Lumpur-based artist collective, POW Ideas by Kyle E and Jun Ong has just been invited to Venice Biennale 2019 and they need our help right now!
This year, architects by trade, the duo is invited by GAA Foundation, a Dutch non-profit organisation supported by the European Cultural Centre, to showcase one of their proudest works – Gerai Tai Tai – at the Venice Biennale 2019, which marks the first Malaysian architects and artists to have the honour.
And POW Ideas is currently seeking sponsorship for their trip to Venice, which you can donate via gogetfunding.com to bring their dreams to life!

A little bit about Gerai Tai Tai: It is is an interactive art installation, inspired by Malaysian traditional fortune telling booth, that reinterprets our country's folk craft into contemporary performance art. It revolves around the 'Tai Tai', who provides a one-to-one bespoke experience to her customers, reading the stories of their past, present and future.
It is truly an outstanding installation that had first made its debut in the SS2 Pasar Malam (might market) in Petaling Jaya in 2016.
