All the details on PONY's tarot-inspired MAC makeup collaboration
One of South Korea's biggest beauty gurus and iconic YouTube sensation, PONY (@ponysmakeup) is back again with another ground-breaking beauty collaboration and this time, it is with MAC Cosmetics.
Set to have its first drop on 21st September 2019 (exclusively in Nordstorm in the US), the PONY x MAC makeup collaboration will see an international release in October 2019, starring a stellar lineup of makeup products inspired by crystals, tarot cards and the stars.
Also known as Park Hye Min, Pony has been known to create stunning, otherworldy beauty looks on her YouTube channel and has worked with many other brands like Shiseido and Etude House. She even has her own K-beauty and makeup brand, named Pony Effect, that is a staple among K-enthusiasts.
And now with MAC, the artist has created an eight-shade eyeshadow palette, a lip-plumping lip gloss, two highlighters, a Prep + Prime Fix+ face mist with pearl shimmer, two makeup brushes and a set of false lashes for the collection.
Aside from the regular collection, PONY has also created a limited edition Matte Lip Mousse, a new product line for MAC that has nine varying shades with "an ethereally weightless formula that glides on evenly for misty soft-matte colour."
First announced on her Instagram, PONY says, "I started the planning in 2016 with MAC and we've put in a lot of effort for this collection over the last 3 years. In December 2018, we finished all the concepts for both the video and photoshoot and I did all the shooting in April 2019."
The PONY x MAC makeup collection will launch online and in-store at Nordstrom on 21st September 2019. The range will later be available online and at MAC’s brick-and-mortar locations in North America on 23rd September 2019. A global release will follow in October.
