While restaurants that offer celebratory feasts are aplenty, one should not give Li Yen at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur a miss. Indulge in the best of authentic Cantonese fine dining cuisine at Li Yen, which has specially crafted Lunar New Year feasts featuring an exquisite selection of menus with traditional delicacies and signature dishes for both lunch and dinner.

All meals will start off a beautifully arranged plate of Prosperity Yee Sang with an option to include salmon, tuna or abalone for an added ritzy twist to the festive toss.

For lunch, guests can take a pick from the three menus offered which include delectable dishes such as the traditional Deep-Fried Chinese Waxed Meat Roll, Double-Boiled Chicken Soup with Abalone and Mushroom and Stir-Fried Prawns with Haw Sauce.

The dinner menu is just as inviting with tempting offerings like the tender Li Yen Special Roasted Chicken and savoury Steamed Bamboo Fish with Sliced Chinese Han.

 

Available from 15 February to 18 February. The lunch set menus are priced from RM1,388 nett per table of 10 persons while dinner set menus are from RM1,888 nett per table of 10 persons

SHANGHAI AT JW MARRIOTT KUALA LUMPUR

One feast is never enough for such auspicious occasions so why not bring your second feast over to JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur for a taste of Shanghai restaurant’s classic award-winning Shanghainese Cuisine?

Only a few minutes’ walk away from Ritz, the newly refreshed and renowned restaurant offers three wonderfully curated set menus together with a la carte menus that are available for both lunch and dinner.

Start off with a toss to good fortune and wealth with its interesting variety of Yee Sang which can be topped with delicacies such as abalone, jellyfish, salmon, lobster, geoduck and even fresh fruits.

Fellow vegetarians can also enjoy the Yee Sang dish made with vegetarian ham and each will also be topped with Shanghai’s well-kept secret recipe, a luscious homemade sauce.

Then, spice up the feast with more unique and delectable creations from the chef’s specialities a la carte menu which includes Braised Wild Mediterranean Red Prawn in Brown Sauce, Deep- Fried Bean Curd stuffed with French Goose Liver and Truffle Paste, and Shanghainese Family Hot Pot with Assorted Dried Seafood.

 

 

Available from 1 February to 2 March. The lunch and dinner set menus are priced from RM298 per person and from RM2,888 nett per table of 10 persons.
