Lifitng inspirations from two eras – 70s and 90s –, Longchamp is all about that fashion journey filled with the sun rays from dawn to dusk.

Taking place in the Hearst Plaza of Lincoln Center, Longchamp is ready for us to dive into another jet-setting journey for Spring/Summer 2020 and this time, we venture into two different eras, as we basked in the enigmatic energy of the sun's ray.

And when we say basking in the sun, we meant it quite literally, as the show took place in the late afternoon at the plaza when the sun casts its golden rays onto us and the collection, which also happens to be inspired by "the solar journey from dawn to dusk".

The show kickstarted with a rather minimalistic look – a sportswear-inspired little black dress on Kaia Gerber –, which served as the starting point to creative director Sophie Delafontaine's reference to the 90s.

As a woman who is always on-the-go, she showcased a variation of sportswear silhouettes that were made for the jet-setting women of today, which is the core DNA to the house that epitomises luxury travel.

Like the sun rising on the horizon to light up our Earth, the collection moved from pitch black tones to lighter tones of beige, grey and burgundy to illustrate the ever-transforming sunrays.

And what makes it so captivating is how the more structures sportswear transitioned into airy dressed in dégradé silk that is dyed in the softest, yet most striking shades of red, brown and more.

The interplay between 90s luxury athleisure silhouettes and 70s psychedelic fabrications was an absolute genius move by Sophie Delafontaine.

Another show-stopping moment was when the series of floral-appliqued dressed strut down the runway. The one that struck us to the core was definitely when Fei Fei Sun glided down the runway in that 70s-inspired psychedelic printed and floral appliqued wonder. C'est Magnifique!

Onwards to other more important matters, Longchamp is all about the bags and this coming Spring/Summer 2020, things are getting microsized in every way possible and we are sold!

From the nano-sized Le Pliage in leather to the Roseau carryall reinterpreted into top handles and bucket bags, there isn't a single one of these new designs that we do not adore.
