Simone Rocha’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection is the statement of romanticism

The designer stuck to her DNA and brought romanticism to the runway.

The pandemic has not shaken Simone Rocha—at least not on the catwalk. Since the beginning of quarantines and virtual shows, the London Fashion Week designer has kept her fashion on the same path, typical of a staunch aesthetic proposal and a super controlling hand (in a good way). What happens out there appears in fashion shows in details translated through your eyes, and not the other way around.

This summer, history was no different and Rocha followed the path of the brand dedicated to a modern romanticism all its own, brave and heavy, full of ruffles but also leather jackets and sexualized overlays. Despite this, it also incorporates codes that are in the air this season—both florals (which, advantageously, have always been part of the brand's repertoire) and freedom of movement, which makes its ample forms receive a little lighter treatment in the structures.
