Since 2015, Adidas and Parley for the Oceans have been working together to promote awareness and knowledge on the threat of marine plastic pollution

And for 2018, the two has announced the return of Run for the Oceans (taking place from 8th June to 8th July 2018), a global running movement that uses the power of sports to support the Parley Ocean School program.

With the Run for the Oceans program, Adidas will contribute US$1 million to Parley's marine conservation education program for the first one million kilometres achieved.

Through over 12 physical weekly runs with the participation of 50 Adidas Runners communities worldwide, Run for the Oceans will be hosted across several major cities including Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, London, Barcelona and Milan,

So, for everyone in Malaysia who wants to be part of the movement, you can download Runtastic app to join the group and log your contribution. Every step counts!

Coinciding with the runs, Adidas Running has also dropped the limited-release UltraBoost Parley and UltraBOOST X shoes, fusing the signature performance-oriented footwear technology with progressive eco-innovation.

Both inspired by the oceans, the shoes feature an energy‐return BOOST™ midsole and 95% Parley Ocean Plastic™ Primeknit upper; and each pair of the sneaker prevents approximately 11 plastic bottles from the possibility of entering our oceans.

You can now get the UltraBOOST Parley collection at adidas.com.my.

The collection will also be available at the following Adidas Sports Performance stores from 27th June onward: KLCC, Pavilion, The Gardens, Midvalley, IOI City Mall, One Utama, Sunway Pyramid and Sky Avenue.
