Aespa is back in a big way! The K-pop quartet has dropped brand new visual teasers of their upcoming, first studio album titled, Armageddon that's set to drop May 27 at 6pm KST. Karina, Winter, NingNing and Giselle have been very busy the past couple of months gearing up for the release of their first full-length album. This, on top of their individual schedules with each member having partnerships with various fashion and beauty labels. In the midst of a hectic schedule, the ladies of Aespa are back to slay with their title track, "Supernova" to be released on May 13. Produced by KENZIE, the mastermind behind some of the biggest K-pop tracks from EXO, Girls' Generation, TWICE and more, "Supernova" is a dance track featuring an infectious bass line and catchy synth elements.
Aespa already attained incredible success with their EPs and chart-topping singles such as "Savage" and "Drama". With their studio album, Armageddon, fans will be enjoying 10 fresh tracks, covering a wide spectrum of genres from edgy hip-hop to bright and energetic pop tunes. The record will also contain ballads, showcasing the colours of Aespa members' voices.
The group has always experimented with integrating digital elements to their musical concepts and this is no exception. According to SM Entertainment, Armageddon will be "filled with Aespa’s deeper musical world and message” and will touch on “the narrative of the second season of aespa’s worldview that expands into the multiverse, beyond the real and digital worlds”. We can see this futuristic angle even in the fashion of the visually striking teasers that dropped recently. For a peep at what the comeback will look like, scroll down for the teaser photos below!
