Burberry goes into the unknown for Autumn/Winter 2020 campaign
Earlier in February, before the global pandemic entered the picture and people travelled across the globe for fashion weeks, Burberry presented its Autumn/Winter 2020 collection in Olympia, London.
Named “Memories”, it is the magic of travel and exploration this collection is all about. The formative years of Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci and his favourite destinations - from London to India - collide at a parade of textural contrast and prints.
In the Burberry Autumn/Winter 2020 campaign, the spirit of discovery is reinterpreted into the idea of freedom and escapism. Set against a breath-taking landscape, the campaign captures the adventurous spirit of Thomas Burberry, the house’s founder who invented gabardine to the pioneers to explore the unknown.
To transcend the past memories and define the future ones, the collection is built upon Burberry’s heritage. We see the royal cues of Burberry - from the honey-beige palette to the trench coats - juxtaposed with the untamed persona of Riccardo Tisci.
The collection introduces a line-up of coats, equestrian-inspired looks for the fearless generation, completed with supersized Pocket Bags and the new Olympia bag.
