Burberry presents "What Is Love?" feat. Carla Bruni, Zhou Dongyu, Yoo Ah-in and more
Every year when we enter the festive season, we wait in anticipation for the many quirky, fun and heart-warming festive campaigns to launch from our favourite luxury brands.
And the latest to drop is the Burberry festive campaign – an annual affair that always blows our mind (remember The Tale Of Thomas Burberry in 2016?) – and to make it even more exciting, this campaign also marks Riccardo Tisci's first-ever festive project for the fashion house!
Titled "What Is Love?", Riccardo gathered a global cast of talents and muses to celebrate the notion of togetherness, union, hope and love including Carla Bruni, Fran Summers, brand ambassadors Zhou Dongyu and Yoo Ah-in, Shay, Ikram Abdi Omar, Lea T, Boychild, Wu Tsang, Cecilia Chancellor, Sasha Pivovarova, Marina Morena, Mahmood and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Shot by the world-renowned photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the campaign centres around the film where the cast of models, actors and personalities dance around to the soundtrack of ‘What Is Love?’ by Deee-Lite.
On the campaign, Riccardo says, "I am connected to the idea of unity, togetherness and challenging the perception of what love is today. This for me is the real spirit of the season. It’s one of my favourite times of the year – when I can stop, reflect and reconnect with those who make me feel happy and at home, no matter where I am in the world. I loved the idea of bringing together a group of people that have been so supportive of me since I joined Burberry to celebrate my first holiday campaign for the house."
Within the film, you will also get to see Burberry lovers of every generation, from toddlers to full-fledged adults – a perfect capture of the new Burberry theme: #BurberryGeneration.
