Burberry ventures into sustainability with ReBurberry Edit collection
No stranger for its pursuit in sustainability and its aim to be carbon neutral by 2022, Burberry furthers its efforts by launching ReBurberry Edit, a curated edit from the Spring/Summer 2020 collection.
Picking 26 styles from its latest collection, the ReBurberry Edit is made entirely crafted from the latest sustainable materials used across the Burberry product range. The collection includes a selection of capes, parkas, trench coats, eyewear, bags and accessories created from scraps, industrial plastics, and other recycled materials or natural fibres.
Together with the ReBurberry Edit collection launch, Burberry is also introducing the global rollout of dedicated sustainability labelling across all key product categories, which features pistachio-coloured tags that provide customers with an insight into the industry-leading environmental and social credentials of the Burberry programme.
The tags also include ‘positive attributes’ that shows whether a product meets a variety of stringent criteria including the amount of organic content or recycled natural fibres used, delivery against carbon emissions standards and social initiatives such as workers being paid the living wage or supported through well-being programmes.
