Chanel unveils new "children's party shoes"
Set against the gigantic liner La Pausa – which has borrowed the name from Gabrielle Chanel's villa in the South of France –, the Chanel Cruise 2018/19 show recalls and relives Gabrielle Chanel's signature vacation look.
And with the collection comes the return of a timeless icon – the Mary Jane shoes –, which Karl Lagerfeld affectionately calls the "childen's party shoes".
Reimagined in silver goatskin, white calfskin, and in rubber, embellished with sequins, all perched on a little heel, the new Mary-Jane shoes brings out the little girl in every lady with a lovely dash of elegance and feminity.
