First introduced for Fall/Winter 2023, Church’s X Miu Miu is back for another season with “Shanghai,” a Church’s classic launched in 1929.
Chic with a retro edge, the reinterpreted style is guided by the modernity and sophistication that Church’s and Miu Miu are about. The structure – toe and heel -- nods to the original design, completed by a rounded last and the interplay of aged leather with malleable canvas, bringing a playful charm to the classic silhouette.
The collaboration is accompanied by a campaign shot by photographer Lengua. In it, models Matilda Liedholm and Judith Shyambala pose against a backdrop of topiary and striped jacquard reminiscent of summertime. By juxtaposing the elements, heritage is transported to a youthful scenario.
