Converse x Rick Owens Drkshdw returns with new colourways
First seen on the Fall/Winter 2022 runway, the new collection is making its way to stores worldwide.
Rick Owens Drkshdw is back for another collaboration with Converse and we are giddy with excitement for it.
The fashion house previewed the new shoe collection on their Fall/Winter 2022 menswear runway this past month. After a successful release in November 2021, the brands have introduced new colourways to the Chuck 70 style shoes.
Inspired by the Ramones silhouette from Owens' Spring/Summer 2014, the new sneakers feature an elongated tongue, inflated bumpers, and toe caps. "I need to make them more bombastic. If anyone knows me, they will recognize my impulse to make something stick out or drag on the floor. Drama," Owens said when describing his design choices for the new sneakers.
The shoes come in a black/cream colour palette for the high tops and a white/cream colour palette for the new low tops. They're made from a heavy-weight 18oz cotton twill, opposed to the classic canvas material.
Completing the collection is a six-panel baseball cap and the Drkshdw Go Lo Backpack. Each piece comes in the Owens classic black/pearl colourway, and features the Drkshdw and Converse logos.
The Converse x Rick Owens Drkshdw collection will be available to shop on 22nd February 2022 on the Rick Owens and Converse websites. Select Rick Owens stores and other global retailers will stock the product as well.
