The TV series about the Spanish designer Cristóbal Balenciaga is arriving on the Disney+ streaming platform on 19th January 2024 . Directed by José Mari Goenaga, Aitor Arregi and Jon Garaño, the telling of Balenciaga's story is contextualized and set during the period from the Spanish Civil War to the early Seventies.
The trailer confirms that the TV series opens with the presentation of the first haute couture collection in 1937 and how it caught the attention of Parisians by competing together to French luxury brands: Chanel, Dior and Givenchy.

Alberto San Juan will play Cristòbal Balenciaga , who he revealed helped him get into the role thanks to the costume designer Bina Daigeler and Pepo Ruiz Dorado. The cast of the Disney + TV series also features international actors including Belén Cuesta who plays Fabiola de Mora y Aragón, Josean Bengoetxea in the role of Nicolás Bizkarrondo (the businessman from San Sebastian) Cecilia Solaguren with the role of his wife Virgilia Mendizabal and Adam Quintero who plays Ramón Esparza, faithful collaborator of the Spanish designer.
