#GucciGift 2020 reimagines a '90s office party

Suddenly we miss the office and our team.

Whilst this year’s celebration may not be what we wish for, Gucci is bringing back those fond memories from the good old days where we impatiently wait for the end of another working day and goof off with the team for its new #GucciGift festive campaign.

As euphoric as it sounds, the #GucciGift 2020 campaign imagines a year-end party set in the '90s, turning the ordinary workplace into an unlikely mixture of a dance floor, nightclub, and bar.

Conceived by creative director Alessandro Michele, shot by photographer Mark Peckmezian and filmed by director Akinola Davies Jr, the #GucciGift 2020 campaign begins with the Gucci-clad muses who're clock-watching and aimlessly tapping on their keyboards liberated into clubbers showing off their dance moves as soon as the clock strikes five.

In the 1-minute campaign film (see above), the Gucci collections -from the GG Marmont 2.0 to the Gucci Tennis 1997 sneakers- are classified into two distinct families: the first line-up that exudes a soft, comfy feel with woolly jacquard fabric and houndstooth checks in green and red; and the sequined, sparkling second batch that ignites the festive spirit.

In conjunction with #GucciGift 2020, the Italian house is bringing the party online with a new Gucci Arcade game in the Gucci App (Google Play & Apple Store). Developed by Undercoders, the mastermind behind the legendary Conga Master arcade game, Gucci's latest digital creation allows players to take command of an employee inside an office, with the goal to ally with co-workers to take part in a Conga dance.

Additionally, you can also immerse yourself in a Gucci holiday via a 3D experience that recreates the campaign environment.
