Kenzo drops teaser for new film starring Milla Jovocich
Since taking the helm of Kenzo, creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon (who are also the founders of Opening Ceremony), has been expanding the artistic landscape of Kenzo into filmmaking.
Together with top cinema talents from all over the globe such as Spike Jonze (the director of movie Her), Arianne Phillips (award-winning costume designer for A Single Man, Nocturnal Animals and Kingsman series), Chung-hoon Chung, (Korean cinematographer behind movies Oldboy, The Handmaiden and It), the designers duo has molded a quirky yet lyrical narrative for Kenzo, which plays divinely with the French's house aesthetic and vision.
And this fall, Huberto Leon is making his directorial debut with Kenzo's Fall 2018 campaign film – Everything.
According to a statement of Kenzo, Everything is “a light-hearted drama about a family of teenagers with unusual powers that bring them together”, and Milla Jovovich, the actress of the '90s cult sci-fi movie 'The Fifth Element' will play the matriarch of a brood of super kids.
The rest of the cast includes the X-Men stars Alexandra Shipp and Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sasha Frolova, Jay Ellis and Regina Hall.
And of course, they'll all be donning pieces from the house's La Collection Memento No. 3, which features the signature rich palette and eccentric patterns of Kenzo.
