Kim Jones and Marc Jacobs join hands for Fendi Baguette's 25th Anniversary in New York
Set to happen on 9th September, the Fendi 25 Years of Baguette show in New York will see never-before-seen collaborations.
When we talk Fendi Baguette, there's no better to associate it with than New York, the place that shot this iconic bag to stardom (thank you, Carrie Bradshaw).
And fast forward to 2022, the Fendi Baguette is turning 25 and the Italian fashion house is making a return to the Big Apple to host its 25th anniversary show - a special show that will surprise you with the unexpected.
Starting with a collaboration between Kim Jones and Marc Jacobs.
While speculations has been floating around since earlier this year, the bomb officially dropped yesterday by Vogue US with an exclusive shoot and feature.
Both designers, formerly of Louis Vuitton, now returns for the Fendi 25 Years of Baguette show to create a small collection honouring both the Fendi Baguette and house of Fendi, set to make its runway debut in New York on 9th September 2022. So, we expect to see Marc and Kim's signatures plastered throughout the runway.
On top of that, Fendi is also issuing limited edition Baguettes, designed in collaboration with various brands and personalities including an edition by Tiffany & Co. Do we see diamonds dancing on the Baguette? We sure hope so.
Tiffany & Co. aside, Sarah Jessica Parker will also be contributing her creative vision for a Baguette design. Something, we are sure to have us yell, "Give me your bag!" ala Sex and the City circa 2003.
