Louis Vuitton returns with the second series for the Murakami collab
Louis Vuitton and Murakami celebrate 20 years of their Cherry Blossom collaboration with a fresh take on the beloved collection.
As Japan’s cherry blossoms prepare for their annual debut, Louis Vuitton unveils the next chapter of its storied collaboration with Takashi Murakami—a luminous reimagination of the artist’s beloved Cherry Blossom motif. Arriving in March 2025, this highly anticipated re-edition fuses Parisian craftsmanship with Murakami’s signature playfulness, capturing the fleeting beauty of sakura season in a collection designed to enchant.
Over 40 exquisite pieces—spanning City Bags, silk Carrés, sculptural footwear, and an extraordinary made-to-order Malle Wardrobe—bloom with the motif’s delicate yet audacious energy. Iconic silhouettes, including the OnTheGo, Papillon, Boulogne, and Speedy 25, are adorned with vividly printed blossoms, their soft petals appearing almost weightless against the maison’s monogram canvas. Elsewhere, the Marellini, Alma BB, and a trio of Capucines City Bags are drenched in a luminous rose-toned finish, a bold yet romantic nod to the season’s ethereal charm.
Two decades after their first genre-defining collaboration, Louis Vuitton and Murakami once again prove that true icons don’t fade—they evolve, adapting to the moment while retaining their unmistakable essence.
