Maison Valentino launches special digital avatar collection for Meta
The Maison delved deeper into digital fashion with Meta and it looks promising.
Over the years, the metaverse has gained attention and discussion due to the advanced technology and the popularity of virtual experiences, where Meta (the company that owns Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and WhatsApp) stands at the forefront.
And in the latest metaverse hype, Maison Valentino has intertwined its creativity in partnership with Meta to showcase an exclusive digital avatar collection.
On 14th July 2023, the first drop was translated into Meta’s avatar program and journeyed onto the Meta Avatars Store, featuring six full looks that are carefully curated from Valentiono's recent collections.
From pieces in Pink PP and the iconic look in the Toile Iconographe to the Maison Valentino Essentials looks, participants can choose from various head-turning outfits to dress their avatars that can be utilised in Meta’s platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and its various VR experiences.
The Maison will also continue to explore various digital communities to open conversations and introduce the latest in culture and technology to its customers and audience, as part of its ongoing advancement and pursuit of an immersive retail experience.
There is also a second drop with Meta in the pipeline, which will be announced later.
