Max Mara looks back to its archive for Resort 2019 Collection
Showed at Collezione Maramotti Museum - the house's factory and headquarter, the Max Mara Resort 2019 Collection lead us through a journey revisiting its beautiful archive accompanied by the background music of a spinning vintage projector.
Creative director Ian Griffiths looks back to the legacy of several Italian art maestro including Jannis Kounellis, Gastone Novelli, Giovanni Anselmo and the house's founder Achille Maramotti to evoke the vision for this collection, where inherited craftsmanship meets a whisper of modern touch.
Several signature pieces from Max Mara archive including the iconic 101801 coat are reimagined with deconstructed and raw-edged tailoring to portray a powerful yet sophisticated silhouette.
Tinted pure and mellow hues, the collection comes in ecru, zinc white, iron grey, midnight blue and lamp black, highlighting the texture and simplicity of noble fabrics.
