After the departure of Bruno Frisoni early last month, Maison Roger Vivier has finally found its successor for the role of creative director: Gherardo Felloni.

A fresh face to the scene, Gherardo has a wide repertoire of experiences including his most recent role at Miu Miu as creative director of footwear (since 2014) and before, at Dior with both John Galliano and Raf Simons (2008 – 2014), which means he has worked under brilliant minds Miuccia Prada, John Galliano and Raf Simons.

Set to debut his first Roger Vivier collection in September 2018, Gherardo promises a fresh contemporary take to the coveted shoe label.

He says, "Roger Vivier is the absolute reference of luxury shoes. I have always been fascinated by him and its master of modernity, its ultimate chic and its endless creativity."

"I feel honoured to be part of Roger Vivier today and develop it further, respecting its heritage and tradition while adding a contemporary and modern take, something Mr. Vivier has always demonstrated."
